Drywall Training FAQ
Clear answers to the questions we hear most often from members building real skills on real walls.
Do I need prior experience to join a course?
No experience required. Our Foundations track starts at zero. Intermediate and advanced cohorts assume you can safely handle basic hand tools and finish at least one small patch.
What tools will I need for the courses?
We provide a shared studio kit during sessions. Recommended personal purchases are listed on the catalog page under each cohort, including a 12-inch taping knife, laser level, and dust mask with P100 filters.
How long does certification take?
Foundations certification runs 6 weeks (one evening per week). Fast-track weekend intensives finish in two full days with a follow-up remote review.
What is your refund or reschedule policy?
You may reschedule up to 48 hours before your first session at no cost. Full refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you have not attended any live session.
Are classes held in person or online?
All primary cohorts meet on-site in our San Francisco studio. Virtual office hours, recorded demos, and a members-only forum are available for every member.
Do you provide safety training and equipment?
Yes. Every new member completes our 45-minute jobsite safety module covering silica dust, ladder use, and cut protection before any hands-on work begins. PPE is supplied on-site.
Can I bring my own project to practice?
Absolutely. Members who reserve a bench slot may work on personal pieces. We ask that projects be under 4×8 feet and pre-approved by an instructor for safety.
